COVID 19 Tests
Antigen Rapid Test (ART)
COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) is a nasal swab test taken from the lower section of the nose. It is cheaper and has a quicker turnaround time as compared to the PCR swab test. ART results will usually be ready within 15 minutes. However, COVID-19 ART is less accurate than the PCR swab test. COVID-19 ART results will be sent to you via SMS and service is available at both our clinics , as approved by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (PCR)
COVID-19 PCR swab tests are diagnostic tests that detect active infection of COVID-19 in individuals. PCR test is the most accurate test for COVID-19 and it is a swab test that is used to detect the presence of COVID-19 antigen in an individual. These tests are sent to MOH accredited laboratories. The estimated turnover time for PCR test is about 24 hours and you will be notified via email of your results.
Serology Test
Being part of the Public Health Preparedness Clinics (PHPC), we are accredited to carry out COVID-19 serology tests in Singapore. We provide both IgG and IgM antibody serology tests. IgM antibody serology test is a blood test that detects the first antibody that our bodies produce when fighting a new infection. A positive IgM antibody serology test can be used to indicate if a person has recently been vaccinated or has been infected by COVID-19. On the other hand, IgG antibody serology test is a blood test that detects IgG antibodies, which are more likely to develop later in our bodies. These IgG antibodies usually remain in our blood for many months even after the infection goes away. Do note that serology tests cannot determine if an individual is currently infected with COVID-19. Instead, serology tests detect past infections and are mostly used for pre-departure screening or for the verification of overseas COVID-19 vaccinations.
